There are loads of tried and true smoothie recipes out there, classics that we already know by heart. But every now and then, we decide to go off book and just see if two (or more!) fruits mix well together. This was one of those times.
Do Coconut and Cashew go well together?
We have honestly never thought of it before, but they get along very well. Coconut's sweetness ends up accentuating Cashew's light astringent taste, leaving you refreshed and ready for the next sip. Adding oat milk - or any other milk you prefer - helps give the drink a bit more of texture, but water should also be just fine.
Ingredients
If making with oat milk or other milk substitutes, this recipe is totally vegan. Also, this smoothie is gluten free. We recommend adding a bit of water only if the texture needs it.
For 1 (about 400ml) smoothie:
- 1x tropix Coconut
- 1x tropix Cashew
- 150ml oat milk
- 50ml water
Instructions
Add all the ingredients to a blender except the water. Blend until smooth then add water a bit at a time until you get the desired frothy texture. Serve immediately.
