Cupuaçu strawberry orange juice flaxseed smoothie

When made correctly, smoothies are low in sugar and full of protein, fat and fiber to balance blood sugar and hunger hormones while keeping you satisfied and energized between meals. The so-called "functional" benefits of cupuaçu are mainly in the intestine and are due to the vitamins and minerals in its composition, which stimulate the gastrointestinal system. Other benefits of Cupuaçu are compared to the effects of coffee: it stimulates the metabolism and increases the energy level. But because it does not have caffeine in its composition, cupuaçu is considered even healthier! Improving the metabolic function makes it an extremely effective supplement for weight and body fat loss. And by increasing the energy level, cupuaçu helps to burn more calories.

Strawberry is also quite rich in vitamins, especially in vitamin C and minerals. Thus, it has anti-anemic and restorative properties. Oranges are naturally a great source of vitamin C and fibers. Whenever possible you should use 100% fruit juice for your smoothies as they contain more of the nutrients and much less sugar!

Flaxseeds have a bit of hype going on around them for some time now - there’s evidence they may help reduce your risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke, and diabetes, among other things. Most importantly these little seeds contain 3 things you need: Omega-3 essential fatty acids: "good" fats that have been shown to have heart-healthy effects; Lignans, which have both plant estrogen and antioxidant qualities and loads of Fiber. So adding them to this already healthy smoothie just makes sense.

For 1x 400ml smoothie:
1x Tropix Cupuaçu
150ml orange juice
100g strawberries
20g flaxseed

Run the pulp pack under warm water for a few seconds. This helps soften the pulp just enough so that it’s a little easier to slip out of its packaging. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and beat until you get the desired consistency, adding a bit of water if needed. Serve with a few ice cubes.
