This is how we make açaí in Rio. Guaraná gives you extra power and adds some sweetness to the Açaí. The combination of guaraná and açaí gives your body a lot of energy and helps fighting fatigue. So it is no surprise to see long lines of people in front of the famous juice shops near beaches in Copacabana and Ipanema for a bowl of açaí before hitting the gym.

Açaí and Guaraná is a powerful combination - the Açaí berry is of easy digestion, quickly providing plenty of energy, without giving a heavy stomach sensation. Guaraná boosts your stamina and awareness, making it easier to go through hard training sessions. In addition, it delays the feeling of fatigue, especially in longer exercise routines. It is rich in caffeine and antioxidants that accelerate the metabolism and favor the use of fat as fuel for the body.

And much more important: they are delicious together.


For one bowl:

  • 1 (100g) pack tropix Açaí with Guaraná
  • 1 (100g) pack tropix Açaí
  • 1 banana
  • a bunch of Blueberries
  • a bunch of cashew nuts
  • Granola
  • Pineapple or apple juice, optional


Blend the Açaí packs with the banana, the juice (optional) until smooth. If finding it still too thick, add a little bit of water and blend until reaching the desired consistency. Add the granola, blueberries, cashew nuts, and any other desired toppings, and enjoy.
