Not your average "immunity boosting" smoothie
Acerola has one of the highest vitamin C contents in all fruits, and its slightly sour taste make it suitable for combining with sweeter fruits. As we combined it with strawberries we thought that it could still get a little bit more interesting. Luckily, we knew just what to add - Cashew. It brings a little bit more acidity and depth of flavour. The final result has been a hit on our events - and so easy to make at home.
Ingredients
For 1x 400ml smoothie:
- 1x Tropix Acerola
- 1x Tropix Cashew
- 50g strawberries
- 100ml water
Preparation
Run the pulp packs under warm water for a few seconds. This helps soften the pulp just enough so that it’s a little easier to slip out of its packaging. Put the fruit pulps and the strawberries in the blender at mid speed, adding water a bit at a time until you reach a uniform texture.
Have a sip and share it your little ones!
