The benefits of our frozen fruit pulps

Whether you are health-conscious or wondering about their ecological impact, we hope this answers your questions.

We are a bit biased, but we think these are great reasons to consider adding our frozen fruit pulps to your life.

Fresh acerolas on a hand

1. They are at their nutritional peak.

The minute a fruit is picked, it begins to lose nutrients so how long after harvesting you eat it impacts on its nutritional value. Our frozen fruits are frozen shortly after they’re harvested, they’re allowed to fully ripen, which means they’re chock full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and freezing “locks in” many of their nutrients.

In contrast, the tropical fruits that we find in German supermarkets are harvested before they have reached their nutritional peak, and then they are artificially post-ripened during transport. All this is done so that they do not spoil prematurely!

2. They have no additives

Because freezing preserves food, no unwanted additives are needed when producing our frozen goodies. No sugar, preservatives or colorings are added, keeping the nutritional qualities of Brazilian fresh fruits unchanged. For our suppliers, “naked” produce is the norm, which is why our pulps have single word ingredient lists - simply the fruit itself.

3. They are hassle-free, healthy shortcuts

We've all been there - after a long day we open the fridge, sigh and think, “Ugh, I wish it would magically prep itself.” Well, keeping frozen fruit on hand is as close as that as it gets. They don’t require any washing, peeling, or chopping. One study found that working people spend on average, less than one hour a day preparing, serving, eating, and cleaning up after meals. That’s not under an hour for each meal – it’s less than one hour for all daily meals! Because frozen produce is prep-free, reaching for it can save you a ton of time, allowing you to make healthy dishes at home, rather than opting for takeout.

4. We thoroughly vet our suppliers

We make sure to work only with partners that are committed to not only minimize environmental impacts, but that actively do so. Furthermore we encourage them to work with organic producers whenever possible by preferentially purchasing Organic products that meet the standards established for the European Union market.
